Rheological Additives improve product's properties

" LUVOGEL ED" is an easy-to-disperse clay for solvent-based coatings containing medium polar solvents. Due to a special surface modification no chemical activator is required. The gelation process in the millbase is reliable using moderate shear only. The free flowing powder can be incorporated directly into the formulation, there is no need to prepare a pre-gel.

"LUVOGEL W2", a rheological additive for water-based systems, is a synthetic Na-Li-Mg-silicate of high purity. It forms strong gels at low concentrations. The aqueous gels are nearly colourless and transparent. The additive is specifically suitable for clear coats and transparent coatings.

" LUVOGEL UP1" was developed for unsaturated polyester systems. Good anti-sag results are obtained in combination with small increase of viscosity.

In the field of construction materials, LUV developed organic thickeners that improve the water retention properties: "LUVOGEL HPG 280"     "LUVOGEL HPG200" and "LUVOGEL HPG 1100" are modified polysaccharides (hydroxyl-propyl-guar ethers) which create pseudoplastic flow properties. These products are used in putties, gypsum plasters, tile adhesives and mortars.
