Greater flexibility in the manufacturing of high-purity films
| With its new product line LUVOFILM® Pharma, Lehmann & Voss & Co. offers approved additive masterbatches for packaging films in the medical and pharmaceutical areas Producers of packaging for syringes, cannulae or catheters must comply with very strict requirements as these packages may only be made of materials listed in the European Pharmacopeia Monographs 3.1.3 and 3.1.6. Apart from PE or PP as the base material, only anti-block and slip agents are approved as additives. So far manufacturers were only able to use a few finished compounds. With its new product line LUVOFILM® Pharma, Lehmann & Voss & Co. offers film manufacturers greater flexibility. LUVOFILM® Pharma are additive master batches by means of which the proportion of additives in films and, by extension, film properties can be individually adjusted. All master batches in this line meet the highest purity requirements and have been approved in accordance with the European Pharmacopeia Monographs 3.1.3 and 3.1.6. They can, therefore, be safely used for applications in the pharmaceutical and medical areas. Anti-block master batches, slip master batches and combination batches, including both slip agents and anti-block additives in individually adjustable concentrations, are available. |
