"Rheology"

The rheological test methods used at Lehmann & Voss & Co. are designed on the one hand to determine the thickening behaviour of magnesium oxide pastes (Luvatol) using viscosity measurements; on the other hand the rheological behaviour of thixotrophic materials is determined which are used as additives in resin formulations.
Both cases involve non-Newtonean systems.

Fundamentals - Rheology

Rheology deals with the flow and deformation behaviour of substances; viscosity determinations play a major role. Viscosity can be defined as flow resistance which is attributable to internal friction in substances.
