"Infrared spectroscopy (IR)"
At Lehmann & Voss & Co, infrared spectroscopy is used for a series of chemical substance groups:
slipping agents (OSA, ESA, carboxylic acid amides), antioxidants, antistatic agents, blowing agent pastes, plasticisers, UV stabilisers;
The samples can be prepared in two different ways:

The samples can be prepared in two different ways:
- Extraction with specific solvents
- Preparation of films by granulate moulding

In the case of IR spectroscopy molecular vibrations are excited; the position of the absorption bands in the spectrum is characteristic for specific molecular groups. Diagram of an IR spectrum: |
