As part of the classroom project "Nothing doing without plastics", students in the middle school will be given regular opportunities to practise working with plastics and to familiarise themselves with hazardous materials and safety aspects on location.
The project entered its third stage in January/February 2012. Besides receiving in-depth instruction on plastics processing from employees of Lehmann&Voss&Co., the students were also treated to short talks on selected topics.
The partnership will be extended this year when two upper-school students from the school in Poppenbüttel will have a chance to perform specialist work. The work is being supervised by our LUVOCOM® division and features product-related focuses (entitled "Plastic Compounds: Requirements, Development, Sample Production and Inspection") and process-related content (entitled "Process Engineering in Compound Production [from Raw Material to Extrusion Product]").
The work will form part of preparations for the students' final school-leaving exams.
