Starting point: new e-invoicing requirements
From 01/01/2027, all larger companies in Germany must be able to send electronic invoices—i.e., comply with the mandatory e-invoicing requirement. For Lehmann&Voss&Co., it was therefore crucial to establish a solution that doesn’t stop at Germany, but can also map the differing fiscal requirements of other countries.
Decision: SAP DRC as a central platform instead of isolated solutions
After the move to SAP S/4HANA, existing point solutions for individual countries were not meant to keep growing. The goal was a unified e-invoicing approach that integrates cleanly into the SAP landscape and remains internationally scalable.
With SAP DRC, the company chose a native SAP solution with broad country coverage and continuous enhancement. Combined with SAP BTP, this created a central foundation to reliably meet national requirements and implement future rollouts faster.
Result: productive e-invoice delivery and a foundation for EU rollouts
Outbound e-invoice delivery in Germany is live; the first business partners have already been migrated, with further migrations following step by step up to the statutory deadline. Lehmann&Voss&Co. benefits from more standardization, less manual effort, and a robust platform to implement additional country requirements on the same architecture.
Outlook: The plan is to expand to additional EU countries—for example, France with new requirements from September 2026.
